This Marshmallow Swirl Fudge is a rich, creamy, and irresistibly delicious treat featuring smooth semi-sweet chocolate fudge swirled with sweet marshmallow fluff. It’s easy to make with simple ingredients, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth or making as a fun dessert gift. The marshmallow ribbons create an eye-catching pattern and a luscious texture contrast without melting completely into the fudge.

Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Base

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt

Marshmallow Swirl

  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff (or marshmallow cream)

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and melted butter. Stir constantly until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
  2. Add the vanilla and salt. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt until everything is fully combined.
  3. Pour into the pan. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Spread the melted chocolate fudge mixture evenly into the lined pan.
  4. Add the marshmallow swirl. Drop spoonfuls of marshmallow fluff over the surface of the fudge. Using a knife, gently drag through the fudge to create thick, visible swirls without overmixing.
  5. Chill and set. Place the fudge in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours or until the fudge is firm and set completely.
  6. Cut and serve. Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper. Cut into squares with a sharp knife and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use marshmallow fluff instead of mini marshmallows to keep smooth, creamy swirls that don’t melt into the fudge.
  • Don’t overmix the marshmallow swirl to maintain thick visible ribbons.
  • Chill the fudge for at least 2 hours to ensure clean, perfect squares when cutting.
  • For extra fun, sprinkle crushed graham crackers on top for a s’mores twist.
  • For toasted marshmallows, lightly torch the top after swirling for a caramelized flavor.
  • Dairy-free option: substitute dairy-free chocolate and coconut condensed milk.
  • Make it extra chocolatey by mixing in ½ cup chopped dark chocolate before swirling.
  • Add crunch by stirring crushed cookies or chopped nuts into the fudge.
  • Create a s’mores version by adding a graham cracker crust before pouring in the fudge.
