5.2 from 18 reviews

These Ham and Cheese Sliders are a delicious and easy-to-make party favorite featuring savory deli ham and Swiss cheese layered on soft Hawaiian rolls, brushed with a buttery Dijon poppy seed glaze, and baked to melty perfection.

Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 slices deli ham
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese, halved

Glaze

  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare the rolls: Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, being careful not to separate individual rolls fully so they stay intact as a pull-apart sandwich. Place the bottom halves in a baking dish evenly.
  2. Layer ham and cheese: Evenly layer 12 slices of deli ham over the bottom halves of the rolls. Next, place the halved Swiss cheese slices on top of the ham, covering each roll base.
  3. Top and glaze: Place the top halves of the rolls back on top of the cheese and ham layers to complete the sliders. In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, Dijon mustard, and poppy seeds until well combined. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the sliders.
  4. Bake to melt: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the assembled sliders uncovered for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden and slightly crispy.

Notes

  • For a spicier twist, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the butter glaze.
  • Use leftover ham or different deli meats like turkey or roast beef as alternatives.
  • These sliders can be assembled a few hours ahead and baked just before serving.
  • Serve warm for best flavor and texture.
