Juicy and flavorful Honey BBQ Chicken Bites made by searing bite-sized chicken pieces seasoned with classic spices, then tossing them in a sweet and tangy honey BBQ sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or as party appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 2 pounds chicken breast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Honey BBQ Sauce

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces, about 1 inch. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder to evenly coat all pieces.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken pieces. Let them cook undisturbed for 3-4 minutes to develop a nice sear, then stir and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, for another 3-5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165˚F. Remove the skillet from heat.
  3. Make the Honey BBQ Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce and honey until smooth and well combined.
  4. Toss Chicken in Sauce: Pour the honey BBQ sauce over the cooked chicken bites in the skillet and gently stir to fully coat the chicken pieces with the sauce. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165˚F for food safety.
  • You can use store-bought BBQ sauce or homemade for better flavor control.
  • Adjust honey quantity for more or less sweetness according to your taste.
  • Serve with rice, salads, or as sliders for a versatile meal option.
