Ingredients

Scale

Egg Mixture

  • 8 large eggs
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 Tbsp butter

Bacon and Cheese

  • 1 lb bacon
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Rolls and Topping

  • 1 (12-oz) package Hawaiian rolls
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter
  • 1 Tbsp ranch dressing mix

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350ºF and spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Make Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper until fully combined and slightly frothy.
  3. Scramble Eggs: Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the egg mixture. Cook the eggs while stirring frequently until they are softly scrambled and fully cooked. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Cook Bacon: In the same skillet, cook the bacon over medium-high heat until crispy. Once cooked, transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat, then cut each bacon slice into 4 pieces. Set aside.
  5. Prepare Rolls Base: Without separating the Hawaiian rolls, slice the entire loaf horizontally in half to create tops and bottoms. Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish evenly.
  6. Layer Ingredients: Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the bottom half of the rolls. Layer the scrambled eggs evenly over the cheese, then distribute the bacon pieces over the eggs. Finally, sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheese atop the bacon layer.
  7. Top Rolls and Apply Glaze: Place the top half of the Hawaiian rolls over the layered ingredients. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter and ranch dressing mix. Brush this ranch butter generously over the top of the rolls to add flavor and help browning.
  8. Bake Sliders: Bake the assembled sliders in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the rolls are warmed through. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh eggs and fully crisp bacon for maximum flavor and texture contrast.
  • You can prepare the sliders ahead of time and refrigerate before baking to save time on busy mornings.
  • Adjust seasoning of eggs as desired; adding herbs or spices can personalize the flavor.
  • Use a sharp cheddar cheese for a bolder taste or substitute with other cheeses like Monterey Jack for variation.
  • Optionally, add sliced jalapeños or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
