A creamy and flavorful Cajun Cream Cheese Alfredo Bowties recipe featuring tender bowtie pasta combined with savory ground beef and a rich, spiced cream cheese Alfredo sauce. Perfect for a quick, comforting dinner with a Cajun twist.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta and Meat

  • 8 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef

Sauce

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup milk (optional, to thin sauce)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 10–12 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the ground beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and fully cooked, about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Make the Cajun cream cheese Alfredo sauce: Reduce the skillet heat to low and add the softened cream cheese and Cajun seasoning to the cooked ground beef. Stir until the cream cheese is melted and combined. If the sauce is too thick, gradually stir in up to 1/2 cup milk to reach desired creamy consistency.
  4. Combine pasta and sauce: Add the drained bowtie pasta into the skillet with the Cajun cream cheese beef mixture. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve warm: Remove from heat and serve immediately, optionally garnished with chopped parsley or grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner protein option.
  • Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning based on your preferred spice level.
  • If you like a stretchier sauce, melt in some shredded mozzarella or Parmesan cheese.
  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free pasta.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently on the stovetop.
