Ingredients

Scale

Wet Ingredients

  • 1½ cups mashed bananas (approx. 3 bananas)
  • ½ cup nut butter (such as almond or peanut butter)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Add-ins

  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy removal of the bars.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, nut butter, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt. Stir well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated into a sticky batter.
  3. Transfer and Flatten: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan. Use a spatula or your fingers to flatten the mixture into an even layer. If desired, sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top for extra sweetness and texture.
  4. Bake: Place the baking pan in the preheated oven and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown and the bars appear set and firm to the touch.
  5. Cool and Cut: Remove the pan from the oven and let the bars cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, lift them out using the parchment paper and cut into bars or squares for serving.
